Cookery Courses - Prepare for Christmas
Thursday 27th November 2008, 10.00am to 1.00pm. Prepare ahead for Christmas at Lodge Farm, Hook. Demonstration - cost £35. Many other courses held from £20.
Situated within our purpose built barn, above the coffee shop, is our stunningly appointed demonstration and teaching Kitchen, which provides cookery courses for anyone wanting to learn the basics, to preparing impressive specialist menus. We offer hands-on cookery courses for up to 12 people or cookery demonstrations for up to 20 and all of our courses are designed to be fun and interesting, whilst working in the finest facilities, with the finest produce.

Hearts First Santa Jog - Basingstoke Fun Run 2008
Sunday 7th December 2008, 10.00am. Get the festive season off to a hilarious start by taking part in our brand new Basingstoke Santa Jog around Eastrop Park. You can walk, run, hop, skip or jump your way around the 5k route but however you decide to do it you’ll be doing it in style with a fantastic free BHF Santa suit!
Get together with family, friends or work colleagues, go Christmas crazy and know that with every penny you raise in sponsorship you will be giving the best gift of all this Christmas – the gift of life.
Timings: Registration on the day opens at 10.00am. - Mass warm-up @ 10.45am - Mass start @ 11.00am

The entry fee for over 14’s includes a bright red Santa suit, complete with beard to wear on the day!
If you are under 14 don’t miss out on all the fun, come along in fancy dress. There will even be a prize for the best costume.
Route: Complete up to 5 laps of the 1km route around Eastrop Park in the centre of Basingstoke. The route is suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs and dogs (under tight control and on leads).
Other Information:
• Ample parking is available around the town centre, a short walk from Eastrop Park. The Bus and train station is also a short walk from the start.
• Public toilets are available near the start/finish point.
• All participants will receive a fantastic commemorative medal.

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
Wednesday and Thursday, 19th and 20th November 2008. This thrilling high-powered production of Dickens’ masterpiece has moved audiences from tears to laughter. In true music theatre style, the actors play and sing the score, at times foot-stomping, at other times heartbreaking. The cast is led by Anthony Pedley - well known for his many years in lead roles with the RSC, on radio in The Archers and on TV in Yes Minister and Poirot. With a hilarious and uplifting finale, this is a gripping and dramatic tale of transformation. This is an evening for young and old, a Christmas feast of theatre for everyone.
