Hampshire Farmers Market - Petersfield
Saturday 6th December and Sunday 7th December 2008, 10.00am to 2.00pm. At a Hampshire Farmers’ Market all produce being sold must have been grown, reared, caught, brewed, pickled, baked, or processed within Hampshire or ten miles of the border. Winchester Cathedral Ice Rink
Winchester Cathedral, in partnership with Winchester City Council and Cousins Entertainment is pleased to announce that planning permission has been granted for a seasonal outdoor ice skating rink that will operate in the Cathedral grounds from 27 November 2008 to 4 January 2009. The ice rink will be located in the Inner Close with the Cathedral providing a stunning backdrop. There will be a café immediately behind the ice rink that will sell seasonal refreshments. A Christmas Market selling high quality goods and food will also open from 27 November to 14 December 2008.

Waynflete Singers: Bach: Christmas Oratorio
Saturday 6th December 2008, 7.30pm. Bach's Christmas Oratorio contains all the skilful writing of his passions and this performance by the Waynflete Singers, accompanied by baroque orchestra, Florilegium, has Katherine Fuge (soprano), William Towers (alto), William Kendall (tenor) and Matthew Brook (bass) conducted by Andrew Lumsden.

Titanic at Milestones Basingstoke
Running November, December, January until Sunday 22nd February 2009, 11.00am. Milestones Museum hosts the Titanic Honour and Glory Exhibition. The story of the tragic liner and her sister ships.
The exhibition Titanic and Glory began its UK tour in 2002 and since then has been visited by over half a million people. The exhibition features many rare and prestigious artifacts from the history of the Titanic and her sister ships Olympic and Britannic.
Become involved in the stories of Hampshire people affected by the Titanic tragedy.
Milestones will be putting on a full range of events and presentations to accompany this major exhibition, including presentations each weekend in November, starting 1st and 2nd November; and 26th December onwards.

Carols At The Kings with The Salavation Army
Sunday 30th November 2008, 6.00pm. On this first Sunday in Advent, we hope you will take the opportunity to share the joyful atmosphere of another evening of carols and Christmas music. There will be all the ingredients to aid your preparation and appreciation of this lovely season, celebrating the birth of Jesus.
Salvationist musicians from our Church in Southsea will be joined by St. John’s College School Choir and Portsmouth High School Nursery, who will present the Nativity. Our comperé will again be Major Adrian Allman, Director of Evangelism, Southern Division, and the evening will support the work of ‘The Children’s Hospice, Naomi House’.
